Job Description

Summary:  Perform repetitive procedure to test and repair medical electronic systems. Perform partial disassembly, modification of subassemblies, addition of new assemblies, complete system test and repackage according to procedures. Detailed documentation of servicing and inventory transactions is imperative.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Drive positive change and implement new capabilities within the IOS Repair department
  • Communicate directly with IOS Marketing and Development Teams on a regular basis
  • Electromechanical assembly and test of medical devices
  • Familiar with ESD preventive procedures
  • Ability to operate computer controlled automated electronic test equipment
  • Applicant should have proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Applicant should have the ability to navigate computer networks and file structures.

  • Complete all tasks assigned in an aggressive manner consistent with department, facility and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Communicate with your management on a daily basis with regards to operational issues and/or improvements
  • Maintain a professional and credible image with FDA and other regulatory agencies, consultants, vendors, and co-workers
  • Promote safety as the most important value in the organization by adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the distribution center to include the proper storage of all materials and equipment
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) at all times
  • Create formal SOPs
  • Shareholder must have the ability to perform all above responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 2 year college degree, technical coursework or AS Technical degree preferred. 3+ years experience in electromechanical assembly and test; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to analyze AC/DC circuits
  • Certified solderer and/or electronic assembly inspector 
  • Knowledgeable about medical device servicing requirements: Regulatory (FDA), Industry Standards (ISO,ASTM,IPC), Business (SOP, WI, DP, DWG,PSP)
  • Outstanding quality standards
  • Proficient in installing, assembling, configuring, & maintaining PC/electrical devices and software for end users based on requirements.
  • Proficient in properly and safely diagnosing, resolving, and documenting common hardware and software issues while applying troubleshooting skills.
Understands the basics of networking: imaging and deployment

Computer Skills:  Proficient with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), charting, flow charting, and graphs. Competent in navigating the Internet.

 Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups within the organization.

Reasoning/ Troubleshooting Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstracts and/or concrete variables.
