Job Description

Prepare and file domestic income tax returns for multinational parent corporation


Prepare quarterly estimated tax computations, estimated tax payments, and tax return extension requests

 

Support domestic income tax audits

 

Respond to inquiries on state notifications

Prepare and review permanent and temporary book/tax differences supporting federal taxable income and federal/state adjustments for state taxable income

 

Manage state tax compliance and the preparation of state apportionment schedules

Manage and analyze relevant legislative changes and effectively communicate implications to management

 

Develop recommendations for efficiencies and process improvement

  Develop a strong knowledge of the industry and assist in domestic tax planning opportunities to drive growth consistent with Company/leadership goals
Basic Qualifications

·         Ability to work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines and produce deliverables

·         Ability to take initiative while seeking appropriate guidance

·         Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple projects

·         Commitment to self-development and career advancement

·         Demonstrate strong commitment to department and organizational objectives

·         Detail and process oriented with strong ability to organize and analyze data

·         Strong proficiency in automated tax systems and Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·         Strong accounting, analytical, written and oral skills

Preferred Qualifications

·         Minimum 3 to 5 years of tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax department

·         Bachelor of Accounting degree or equivalent

·         Masters of Taxation degree and/or a CPA is a plus

·         Knowledge of accounting systems (SAP) and tax software (Onesource)
