Job Description

Manages the Day to Day priorities of Quality Control.  Assists QC by resolving minor issues and concerns. Coordinates and Leads training for all new QC inspectors.  Tracks performance for inspection and calibration and escalates as required. Serves as a management representative to communicate NuVasive goals and objectives. Assist in trouble shooting advanced metrology equipment such as CMM and Vision Systems.

Ensure timely FAI inspections for New Product Introductions, and assist with Gauge Coordination, Calibration and documentation associated with NuVasive Calibration program.  Performs inspections, and assists inspectors in the QC area with technical measurements and print interpretation. The Specialist will help support Quality Engineers or Management, analyze and solve problems. The specialist may also preside over various quality systems and programs such as metrology, control of non-conforming materials, environmental temperature monitoring, etc.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma required. 5 or more years of technical inspections.  Experience in gage calibration, training, and advance metrology systems such as CMMs and Vision Systems.  

Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or ASQ CQT(Technician) / CCT (calibration), Experience with any or all of the following:  OGP Flash Vision System, CMM programming/Operation, Mitutoyo Contour Tracer, Pratt and Whitney Supermicrometer, Keyence Instant Measurement System, GD&T, Mechanical Print Interpretation, First Article Measurements, Gauge Calibration, Medical Device Inspection, Inventory control, Non-Conforming Material Report.
