Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Finance professional experienced in high-volume manufacturing environment and with a successful track record of working in cross-functional teams. Capable of successfully providing financial leadership and management for a publicly traded manufacturing plant, which includes inventory costing, inventory control, manufacturing COGS & variance reporting, quick period-end closes, systems and process flow expertise and financial & SOX audit support.

General Responsibilities:

Leadership
* Key member of the plant leadership team; dotted line to GM
* Support manufacturing operations and supply chain
* Lead and direct finance and IT staff
* Site leader for all systems development, flow and enhancements

Financial Analysis

* Perform make vs. buy, headcount, capacity analysis
* Tracking spend budget vs. actual
* Reporting manufacturing variances, KPI metrics, gross margins, inventories, operational efficiencies

Cost & General Accounting
* Maintaining standard costs: RM, DL & OH rates, production cycle times
* Tracking headcount, labor and overhead spending, absorption
* Reporting manufacturing variances, KPI metrics, gross margins, inventories, efficiencies
* Month-end accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations
* Reporting package for period-end closings
* Payroll (internal)
* Accounts payable processing
* Cash management
* Fixed assets
* Intercompany balances
* Inventory Management
* Monitoring inventory transactions
* Conducting physical inventories counts
* Reconciling and recording sub-ledgers to the GL

Other Responsibilities
* Improving internal control policies and procedures
* Ad hoc modeling and analysis
* Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of 8-10 years of general accounting or finance experience (required)
* Minimum of 3-5 years of finance and cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
* Minimum of 3-5 years of management and leadership experience 
* Experience with major systems implementations and/or supervising IT staff

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

* CPA or CMA (preferred)
* Publicly traded company experience (preferred)
