Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet all incoming guests professionally and with proper enthusiasm, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Act as gatekeeper to ensure that only authorized persons are allowed to enter NuVasive offices.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose, and forwards to appropriate personnel or department using excellent customer service skills. Answers basic questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
  • Receives and sorts incoming US mail and other package deliveries to appropriate individuals and departments. Maintain lobby and mail room in an orderly condition. Manage office supplies to ensure that basic supplies are kept in stock.
  • Monitor corporate voice & Email boxes; forward inquiries to appropriate parties
  • Administrator of the visitor management system. Provide training and support to shareowners
  • Maintains employee phone lists and reference sheets for use by internal staff
  • Maintains updated digital content on lobby TV monitors

Provide departmental support to the Facilities and Real Estate team through budget tracking, PR creation, submission of new vendor & check requests, maintaining vendor insurance certificates

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D. required and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Computer Skills:  Proficient and accurate with Word and Excel. Competency in navigating the Internet.


Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to individual customers and employees.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
