NuVasive is seeking an experienced Mechanical or Biomedical Engineer for our Interbody and Access Development team. This team focuses on the development of complex interbody and retractor systems for use in spine surgery. As part of this team, you will utilize your extensive knowledge of mechanisms, engineering practices, mathematics, material science, and other physical sciences to create implant and instrument systems, designed with surgeon input, for use in O.R. around the world.
In this role, you’ll gain hands on experience to help you devise innovative product solutions, and bring them from concept to commercialization. Another key aspect of this role is managing the product development process, project timeline, and cross-functional team meetings, as you’ll often interact with other internal teams, including marketing, purchasing, regulatory, quality, research and testing, and machine shop, to ensure designs comply with applicable FDA and state regulations, as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485.
