As a Product Owner/Manager, you will engage with business stakeholders to capture, manage and prioritize key business requirements for web and mobile applications. You will translate those needs to your IT Agile team, guide development to ensure a quality system solution, and be a passionate customer advocate for the design solution.


What you will do

·         Define and manage the product roadmap from strategic planning to tactical activities

·         Define the business requirements of the system(s) on behalf of NuVasive stakeholders and translate them for IT development

·         Manage and prioritize the product backlog, capturing enhancement requests and defects

·         Collaborate with business stakeholders across different geographies, gathering and prioritizing business needs for system solutions

·         Develop user stories for product features and enhancements with clear acceptance criteria

·         Reconcile feature/timing/resource conflicts, break down high-level information into details, abstract from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying business need

·         Guide user experience design planning and delivery with the UX team where applicable

·         Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business testers

·         Work closely with developers and QA resources to ensure release planning & delivery

·         Train and demonstrate new features and enhancements to business

·         Follow our competitors and the industry

       Research Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends to help drive the organization-wide Agile 

Basic Qualifications

·         Business or Technical Degree

·         3+ years of Product Owner/Management experience

·         Worked extensively in Agile methodology

       Technical/analytics experience – facility and ease in communicating with technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

·         Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

·         Experience using one or more Agile tools such as JIRA or Rally

·         UX/wireframing experience

·         Proficient with process mapping, analysis, flow charting, graphing and requirements document creation

·         Familiarity with Sales and Distribution, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Materials Management and / or Logistics business processes

·         Experience in the medical device field including knowledge of applicable FDA and state regulations

·         Experience with analytics tools such as Cognos, Tableau, and Business Objects

 

·         Experience with SQL
