Job Description

The Associate Business Analyst will manage the first level of support for all applications under Commercial Apps and Operations.  This position will be the primary face of the IT Business Applications team and therefore will require excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude, the ability to work independently and prioritize tickets.  This position will have a unique role of supporting the application as a support technician and a Business Analyst.


Technical Support responsibilities (80%):

  • Provides technical support to system users and develops reproductions and examples required to identify and resolve problems
  • Collects detailed information to categorize requests in order to determine method of resolution
  • Communicates clearly and precisely with users regarding expectations for callbacks, follow-ups regarding their issues, interactions with development, and other open issues
  • Evaluates user needs, defines technical problems, and works with engineering/development staff to determine solutions
  • Provides development team with clear and complete information, when developer assistance is required, carrying out recommended diagnostic steps and gathering information as necessary
  • Assists users in implementing solutions
  • Performs ongoing activities to maintain and enhance overall system performance
  • Implement established procedures and processes to meet organizational objectives
  • Recommend suggestions to improve efficiencies
  • Acts as a general knowledge resource for peers


Business Analyst responsibilities (20%):

  • Determines requirements using interviews, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, and task and workflow analysis
  • Clarifies process and help resolve issues related to requirement, design, testing and acceptance specifications
  • Facilitate design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution
  • Develops and implements testing plans to validate custom development
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of Business Analysis experience
  • Two or more years of Support Tech experience
  • Familiar with ServiceNow, SQL, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Problem solving, decision making; requirements analysis and process improvements
  • Self-motivated; excellent communication skills and organizational skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills and possess strong written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of team member
  • Bachelor's Degree
