Responsible for the business requirements and system documentation for our IT Global Commercial team. You will coordinate between other business analysts, project managers, software engineers, vendor/partner teams and business teams to enhance and support applications in alignment with overall corporate strategic goals.

Provides leadership, business analysis expertise and conducts business design sessions. When assigned to projects can demonstrate leadership and accountability for their work and the team’s work. Assumes responsibility for key functional area(s) and interacts with business teams and IT personnel.

• Leads analysis of business processes and how they operate to ensure that IT systems and other technologies used are adequate for an organization to support business operations. Conducts research on existing business support systems and identifies problems. Detects software and hardware problems in computer and business systems.

• Documents business requirements, translates requirements into application/business requirements, and configures business and computer applications to meet them. Participates in system design and User Acceptance Testing to determine efficiency and ability of solutions to meet company needs. Acts as key liaison between business and technical teams during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Designs, configures, tests and deploys changes to fields, screens, reports and dashboards to both web application, local NuVasive Japan applications and global enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.)

• Provides system administration support for the applications across the IT Global Commercial business lines, including researching and troubleshooting issues, and building requirements for new application enhancements.

• Primary IT support will be for the APAC region, including NuVasive Japan; however this role will also support our global systems and programs as IT management guides based on high priority programs. This individual will interface with our global teams, including the IT Corporate team in California, USA, so some flexibility across time zones will be necessary for occasional collaboration meetings.

• Collaborates with software engineers, product/project owners, IT testers and subject matter experts to establish the business requirements to meet business goals.

 
Required Skills / Capabilities

• Experience with business systems analysis and project coordination - including configurations, customizations, business processes, requirement analysis, requirement documentation, and process workflows

• Experience with all stages of the standard software development lifecycle (SDLC), waterfall and agile methodologies

• Writing/Verbal Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, and management of organization. Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.

• Language Requirements: *Must have written and verbal professional level language fluency in English and Japanese.* Chinese language also preferred, but not required.

• Computer Skills: Proficient and accurate with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), flow charts (Visio) and business process mapping. Competent in seeking solutions to warehouse management applications and enterprise applications (examples: ERP, CRM, web applications).

Education and Experience

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Project Management or related discipline with 5 years of related experience

Travel and/or Physical Requirements

Some travel may be required, up to 10% travel.
