Job Description

At NuVasive, our HR Generalists play a key strategic and hands-on role providing full cycle human resources support to our internal client groups. Tapping into your superior consulting and communication skills, you will partner with leadership to provide advice and counsel to ensure uniformity of HR Practices that align with department and company objectives.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with internal customers/shareowners to promote employee engagement
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization shareowners; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and purpose of the organization
  • Adheres to the highest moral, ethical and legal standards to deliver an environment that promotes respect, innovation and creativity
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Provide shareowners and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent
  • Drive HR practices to create a strong culture of leaders and high performing teams
  • Partner with Senior HR Manager to execute business-specific HR strategies
  • Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination of projects
  • Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, recruitment, performance management, career path development and succession planning; assist in key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance
  • Manage HR special projects or initiatives as needed
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, and resolved
  • Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care
  • Manage change and administrative processes and keep shareowners updated
  • Manage shareowner disciplinary processes when needed
  • Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven years of experience in Human Resources)
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of HR processes/procedures
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • “Can Do” attitude that is supported by an inclusive style that energizes and mobilizes the team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
  • Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma experience
