Get in on the ground floor as NuVasive creates a new engineering group dedicated to the development of future Global Implant System solutions. Operating in parallel with our normal product development work stream, the New Technologies Group will be responsible for R&D activities requiring greater emphasis on feasibility and technical diligence. We will support tech assessment as well as de-risking and parallel-pathing on our highest priority initiatives. NuVasive is seeking an experienced Mechanical or Biomedical Engineer to work in this group.
As a seasoned mechanical engineering professional, you’ll gain hands on experience to devise innovative mechanical product solutions to meet surgeon needs and design specifications, from concept to commercialization. Working on cross-functional teams to manage the product development process, project timeline and deliverables is key to this role, as you’ll often interact with other internal teams, including marketing, purchasing, regulatory, quality, research and testing, and machine shop, to ensure designs comply with applicable FDA and state regulations, as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485.
