Job Description

Our Analyst will focus on M&A, Ventures and Integrations and is responsible for driving cross-functional efforts to assess, value, plan and monitor / manage inorganic activity at NuVasive.  Working closely with Corporate Strategy, Commercial and other business functions around the globe, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, operations, commercial, finance and legal through well-documented and clearly communicated diligence efforts.  As a key member of our dynamic and active M&A team, you will lead analysis and synthesis of information leading to proposals for executives on inorganic and material organic business initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform critical quantitative and qualitative analyses to determine various financial aspects of potential investments, including synergy assessment, profitability analysis, and pro forma modeling utilizing traditional valuation methodologies and measurements and sensitivity and scenario analyses, including presenting deal status and recommendations to leaders within the organization
  • Coordination and execution of the due diligence process, compiling and delivering information requested by internal customers, refining analyses with updated information
  • Support monitoring and management of portfolio of early-stage technology companies
  • Support Corporate Development Leader in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment partnering with functional leaders across the enterprise, on material projects of high visibility
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic project environment, with a strong project management & planning capability
  • Strong technical skills in finance/accounting with exposure to operations or commercial functions to help derive actionable, measurable integration plans
  • Strong communication skills, ability to synthesize complex matters to core decision points “on the fly” to leaders
  • High regard and appreciation for project management and process, schedules and timelines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in finance, accounting, and/or legal
  • Strong valuation and modeling competencies
  • Prior experience as an investment banker, financial analyst or engineer a plus
